A second species of the terrestrial orchid genus Satyrium , S. nepalense D. Don, was recently discovered in Mae Hong Son Province, northern Thailand. A morphological description, illustrations and short notes on the distribution, ecology, phenology and conservation of the species are provided, together with a key to the species of the genus Satyrium in Thailand and a map of their distribution.
