The species composition of a limestone mountain area in Cao Bang province, northern Vietnam was investigated during May–July 2016. Based on these field investigations and comparative studies with herbarium materials, Toxicodendron wallichii (Hook.f.) Kuntze was identified as a new record for Vietnam and is described and illustrated. This species also occurs in North-western India, Nepal, Northern Thailand and North-western China.
