ระหว่างเดือนกันยายนพ.ศ. 2562 ถึงเดือนสิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2563 โดยสำรวจและเก็บตัวอย่างตามเส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติรวมทั้งศึกษาจากตัวอย่างพรรณไม้แห้งในพิพิธภัณฑ์พืชมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และรายงานการศึกษาที่เกี่ยวข้องพบพรรณไม้จำนวน 6 วงศ์ ได้แก่ วงศ์สะแก (Combretaceae) วงศ์กะอาม (Crypteroniaceae) วงศ์ตะแบก (Lythraceae) วงศ์โคลงเคลง  (Melastomataceae) วงศ์ชมพู่ (Myrtaceae) และวงศ์พญารากดำ (Onagraceae)  จำแนกเป็น 15 สกุล 43 ชนิด 44 แทกซา พรรณไม้ในวงศ์โคลงเคลงมีจำนวนชนิดมากที่สุดคือ 5 สกุล 16 ชนิดนำพรรณไม้ทุกชนิดที่พบมาสร้างรูปวิธานระบุชนิดได้โดยใช้ลักษณะวิสัยและสัณฐานวิทยาของใบดอก และผล

Species diversity of Myrtales in Phu Phan National Park was investigated. Field surveys and specimen collections between September 2019 and August 2020, consultation of the dried specimens at Khon Kaen University Herbarium, as well as a compilation of related reports, were conducted. Forty-four taxa of 43 species, 15 genera, belonging to Combretaceae, Crypteroniaceae, Lythraceae, Melastomataceae, Myrtaceae and Onagraceae are enumerated. The family Melastomataceae is found the highest number with five genera and 16 species. An artificial key to the species is constructed using habits as well as the morphology of leaves, flowers and fruits.
