The foliicolous lichens of the genus Eremothecella Syd. are characterised by a crustose growth form producing ascomata which are apothecioid, spot-like, dark brown to black, rough ascomata, verrucose due to asci protruding through the ascomata surface, loose paraphysoids, spherical asci. Conidiomata pycnidia, flat, round to ovalor obovate and with multiseptated conidia. Two species have been reported in Thailand, E. macrocephala (R.Sant.) G.Thor, Sérus., Lücking & Tat.Matsumoto and E. calamicola Syd. & P.Syd. In this study, E. ajaysinghii Jagad.Ram& G.P.Sinha and E. macrosperma (Zahlbr.) Sérus. are reported as new records for Thailand, where are found inthe tropical rainforest of Ko Yao Yai and Ko Yao Noi, Phangnga province.
